Engineering Data Analysis & Technical Reporting
Course modules
01Define the analysis question
Turn a fictional engineering task into a clear reporting question and scope. Identify required inputs and separate analytical support from design or safety approvals.
02Organise and validate sample data
Structure sample observations with consistent units, labels and source references. Flag missing values, duplicates and unusual entries without silently changing source records.
03Build traceable calculations
Apply appropriate instructor-supplied methods to teaching datasets. Check formulas, units and results against worked examples and record assumptions.
04Present trends and uncertainty
Create suitable charts and compare patterns across sample conditions. Explain data limitations and avoid treating associations as proof of cause or safety.
05Draft technical reports with AI support
Organise findings into a concise report using fictional or non-sensitive examples. Verify AI-assisted wording, figures and references against the original evidence.
06Review and hand over findings
Check calculations, charts, sources and revision consistency before presentation. Prepare a review pack with unanswered questions and qualified approval responsibilities.

Curriculum, duration and tuition are indicative and subject to confirmation. Use fictional or appropriately authorised teaching examples; do not bring confidential engineering records. Analysis and reporting-support training only, not professional accreditation or authorisation to approve designs, certify equipment or make safety-critical decisions. Real projects require appropriately qualified technical review and applicable requirements. Software and licence costs will be confirmed before enrolment. No employment or project-result guarantee. An enquiry does not confirm a place.
