Patient Communication & Health Education Content
Course modules
01Understand the audience and purpose
Define the audience, communication goal and appropriate scope using fictional scenarios. Distinguish general education and administrative information from personalised medical advice.
02Write clear and respectful messages
Practise plain-language explanations, appointment information and service messages. Use an empathetic tone without making unsupported promises or clinical claims.
03Verify health information sources
Check that source material is relevant, current and appropriate for the intended audience. Record sources and flag statements that need qualified professional review.
04Draft educational content with AI support
Prepare sample leaflets, frequently asked questions and short educational scripts. Check generated wording against source material and remove invented facts or patient-specific recommendations.
05Review accessibility and language
Adapt structure and wording for different literacy levels and communication formats. Treat AI translations as drafts requiring review by an appropriately fluent reviewer.
06Build an approval and escalation workflow
Create a checklist for factual accuracy, tone, version dates and reviewer sign-off. Identify questions that must be routed to qualified healthcare professionals rather than answered independently.

Curriculum, duration and tuition are indicative and subject to confirmation. Use fictional scenarios; do not bring patient-identifiable information. Educational communication-support training only, not clinical licensure or authorisation for diagnosis, treatment or personalised medical advice. Patient-facing health content requires appropriate professional review. Software requirements will be confirmed before enrolment. An enquiry does not confirm a place.
