Responsible AI Use & Output Verification
Course modules
01Understand AI strengths and limitations
Explore why plausible answers can still be incomplete or incorrect. Distinguish generated suggestions from verified evidence and recognise tasks that need specialist judgement.
02Verify facts and references
Check important claims against suitable original sources. Confirm that cited material exists, supports the claim and is current enough for the task.
03Review numbers and assumptions
Recalculate sample figures and inspect the assumptions behind a conclusion. Identify missing context, misleading comparisons and outputs that need further investigation.
04Recognise bias and inappropriate outputs
Review language, examples and recommendations for unfair assumptions or unsuitable content. Practise revising prompts and escalating concerns rather than treating an AI answer as neutral.
05Choose suitable information and tools
Recognise information that needs careful handling and avoid using sensitive details in practice exercises. Review tool guidance and decide when to seek appropriate specialist support.
06Build a human-review checklist
Create a repeatable process for checking accuracy, sources, context and suitability. Record review decisions and define when an output should be revised, rejected or escalated.
